Jesus, can you pipe down a bit, ya fucking spastic manchild? Even if you are a troll desperate to get a rise out of people, you don't have to immediately sour every thread worth a decent discussion, damn.
I'd expose your ass already if I wasn't so lazy (and if gelbooru had a basic user post search function, crappy ass gelbooru). Not that it would really matter, since you'd just keep going until you get bored or get banned. Fuckin' deranged loser.
ANYWAYYYYYYY
I was gonna make a topic on this sooner or later, but I guess you beat me to it OP, lol.
I have such complicated feelings on AI art. I don't really agree with the notion of "either you like it or you don't" because it's too black and white, it depends on a specific discussion point, and sometimes it depends on my mood. I think a better preposition would be "do you support the practice or not" because at least that question is far more straightforward and condensed.
Some AI art is genuinely incredible looking, and I'm tired of pretending it isn't. I don't like it when people just lazily blurt out "AI SLOPPA" when they're talking about something that if, was actually proven to be drawn by a human, would be considered drawn by godlike artist with SS+ class drawing skills.
Okay I'll admit: the last thing I fapped to was Stellar Blade AI art. It looked amazing, and I don't care what anyone says. Her massive perfectly round ass was so shiny it reflected the whole room like a glass dome! I'd imagine if people DIDN'T have the knowledge that it was AI generated, people would've considered it a horny masterpiece. And because it was AI-generated, it was only 1 pic out a 30 set image, so... it really shows the power of AI.
Now on the other hand, AI "artists" who paywall their "art" are a little bit scummy by default. Much more scummy, however, are those who pretend it's real art, or just as difficult to create as real art. Like c'mon bro, you didn't sacrifice your blood, sweat, tears, and semen to create this. You just typed some words on a prompt that a gigantic supercomputer squeezed out for you (or however that process works). Don't make such a mockery of people who actually would be deserving of compensation for their hard work.
I think I'd say my main argument against AI art is that it's stolen art that requires zero effort. It truly does suck hardworking artists get bits and pieces of their work sapped into an algorithm, which eventually can create something that perfectly replicates their art. If AI art was magically restricted to using only royalty-free art generously donated specifically for AI generation, then I don't think it'd be nearly as much as an issue as it is now.
I don't really care to discuss AI usage outside of AI art at this current moment. But I will say, on the topic of AI censorship, I feel like people should already have the intuition to do their own research. People should only use AI research stuff should only be for really simple things that you wouldn't really need to double check for. Things that aren't political or highly subjective. Unfortunately, because generative AI is so damn pesky and all-consuming, stuff that should be coming from human experts, might be silently replaced by AI, and we'd be none the wiser. I hope there's some good way to combat this.
