The final episode came out today. And yeah, holy fucking shit. I won't spoil anything, but jesus fucking christ.
My thoughts?
Season 1 was a masterpiece. It had a few flaws, sure enough, but overall it was a 9/10.
Seasons 4 and 5 are ABSOLUTE FUCKING DOGSHIT. The writers are fucking horrible at their shitty fucking jobs, oh my god.

It's some superhero show that keeps getting advertised to me, the ads gives me edgy "douchebag humor" vibes for some reason, that's about all I know.
I think my brain has developed some subconscious phobia/aversion to superhero media.
I just can't be bothered with the superhero genre anymore, It's more tired than the zombie genre at this point.

You know, it was always edgy and dark, but it was a very interesting show that it was pretty well written.
But then the writing quality took a huge nosedive. The edgy violence was increased. The grossout and disgusting shock content suddenly increased.
And the political themes. Oh my fucking god, the fucking shoehorned politics. Just the most obvious political virtue signaling hamfisted into the show.
As it is now finished, The Boys is a garbage piece of shit abomination with an ending that wastes all your time.
You were right to avoid this show.

I heard the comics are awful.
