It's like I almost got the solution... now it's blocking the actual ad-site, but the thumbnail page still dissolves to that "gelbooru.com is brought to you today by"... then it can't connect. I still have to click "skip to content".

just wondering, but ever think its a flaw in the coding of the site? or maybe with the ads themselves?

just throwing things out there... what ever you had b4 the new ad pop-ups was completly fine.

again just throwing things out there.

It works for me perfectly fine. It couldn't be a problem with their code since damaramu and I are using the same browser. It has crossed my mind, but usually it's just a local issue with the persons computer.

Does the ad keep coming up over and over or does it stop after that one time?

Whoop. I seem to have a bit of egg on my face. I was so focussed on the host file, I fogot about Adblock plus. That actually seems to have done the trick... in like 3 minutes... eh-heh. I like the fact it's a Firefox ad-on too, not another program. Sorry this could have been resolved 5-6 posts ago. Much obliged. And thanks again for your time.

I was going to suggest turning it off to see if it helped, but seeing as how it is no longer being a problem...
