So I wanna know how to delete forum posts or even delete anything in my account or hide stuff just any control basically even in the forum I can’t reply to anyone there’s a total lack of control here for the average user idk why the website is designed like this I can only like posts and post something but then there’s no control beyond that at all I can’t even delete a post? Can’t even delete my account nothing at all?

I mean... Not trying to be a jerk or anything but if you're old enough to use this site you should have the sense to not make an incriminating thread/post with no obvious way of deleting it.

IF you are aware that this is not possible, sure. But tbh this is not trivial, most sites and services allow you to do this, and it is even a legal requirement in some parts of the world (*cough**coughurope**cough*), so assuming that it can be done is natural. It is in the faq, though, but I guess nobody reads that, aside from absolute maniacs (i.e. me).

I've seen forum topics and individual forum posts deleted on here before. Is it difficult to do or something? Or you don't have time to handle requests like that?

I dunno if I'll be slapped from orbit for saying this,that right there's a lot of expectations for a site that is being run on hopes and dreams.

That's not really something I have any decision in, but only admins can delete threads and posts. not accounts and it will only be on a case by case basis.

Also the servers are in Chicago so as far as I know the GDPR can pound sand.

I'm sorry but it's hard to have sympathy for you when you need to be of adult legal age to even use this site and cry like a child that your posts can't be removed.
This is like basic internet etiquette 101, whatever you post online very likely stays online forever. You should be taking this shit more seriously before making a username "masterbaiter" and acting surprised like that'll come back to bite you later.

I don't know if OP posted something distasteful, rule breaking, sus, etc. for you to respond like this, but OP's claim is still valid. Gelbooru (and all the other sites in this shitty booru format) are the only the websites I visit where you can't delete your posts. Literally every other site that has a modern UI allows you to delete your posts and your account.

I've gotten used to it but I still don't know why you can't even delete or edit your comments. At the very least that should be an option. That's the bare minimum and Gelbooru can't even do that.
