Key words: fake stereogram, like every other drawn one. Real ones require photos or 3D models, and actually have varying depths when you cross your eyes. These just make the entire flat image sort-of pop out.
It's like telling kids that their grape juice is wine and watching them act placebo-drunk.

Except you don't "require" that at all. Barring the fact that stereograms were around way before the information age, have an example from this same booru
