I know of a torture technique that involves honey. It’s a rather old one so bare with me. Typically what you do is force feed the victim a lot of honey/cream until they are completely full. Then usually the victim is tied up in a rowboat and sent off into a swamp or bog. The idea is that the bugs will be attracted to the scent of sweat and honey and will eat the immobilized victim from the inside out. Now I’m not seeing a boat, but it’s quite possible they’re going for a more simple use of it. The idea is all the same though. Either way it’s a slow, slow, horrible way to die and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.
