I agree with anon1, I like ecchi(hence I'm on this site after all) but To-love-ru was just a ecchi harem comedy but now it's on the most borderline of porn of all ecchi animes.

I don't know why toloveru has such a huge fanbase, why not just watch actual hentai instead. But I guess some people like softcore cock-teasing for 12 episodes...

Kaoknight there are far worst ecchi's with a huge fanbase that you could complain about *cough cough* Sanran Kagura. To love-ru actually tries to keep you interested with a decent compelling story, intense romance and of course hilarious comedy. Turning it to a hentai would be pointless because most hentai's don't make it past 2 vol.

I would rather them make it into a eroge therefore you can do every heroines route.

DarthVantos, hentai's get straight to the sex but only has a few volumes, while ecchi anime pretends to have a story but only has endless cock teasing fanservice(some people like softcore more than hardcore I guess) but it goes on for 12 eps and sometimes has OVAs, specials and sequel seasons.

@DarthVantos - Are you serious right now? To love ru is legitimately just fanservice with no compelling substance. Senran Kagura is fanservice as well. But even THAT has more substance than To Love Ru.

To love ru is and has always been this stupid combination of an "actual pretty normal very mediocre anime" and a "almost hentai". if all of the ecchi in toloveru were removed and the story was kept, I would say it is alright. But these two things keep destroying each other. There are other animes(many actually) which do the same mistake(such as korezombie, sora no otoshimono etc.) but this one is more popular than most of them. I can understand if someone watches kore wa zombie desuka for its story and ignores all of its harem but if you are watching this for its story and scenes like this don't make you ragequit theres something wrong with you

@DarthVantos, anon was never really defending senran(you brought it up) sure senran also sucks but saying that to-love-ru is a masterpiece is just weird. You're right though, to-love-ru sells like crack in japan for some reason but there are a lot things that sell well that are complete garbage
