I remember marathoning the first season all the way to "To love-ru Darkness". Regret doing so.
It's like watching the same joke 50 times then expecting something amazing to happen in terms of character development/story only to find nothing but an endless pit of the same "oops I fell on ur bewbs again!". I really wonder how stuff like this goes on as long as it does and people don't get bored with it.

I am not bored because not all people interested in that "development/story" almost always including humiliation, drama, bitch slaps and so on. I just want some warm, nice, friendly and calm action. I love series like To love ru or Hidamari Sketch or Kiniro mosaic or Sakura trick(luckily, there are plenty of them), because they give me sense of happiness, safety and joy. I have enough problems, fear and shit in real life to deal with.

I am not bored because not all people interested in that "development/story" almost always including humiliation, drama, bitch slaps and so on. I just want some warm, nice, friendly and calm action. I love series like To love ru or Hidamari Sketch or Kiniro mosaic or Sakura trick(luckily, there are plenty of them), because they give me sense of happiness, safety and joy. I have enough problems, fear and shit in real life to deal with.

For the record Sakura Trick did have a bit of drama and also had decent character development for a 12 episode series so I wouldn't include that in your list.
Also I don't believe it's to much to ask for Rito to change from being the bumbling punching bag he's been for the past damn 40+ episodes to someone less pathetic. I mean shit in the first season I'd give him credit for at least being a real man and going against Gid who could destroy the whole fucking planet if he wanted too (though I think their confrontation was anime only, not sure). But ever since then it's been the same bullshit with him being incredibly indecisive, falling on girls and overall being useless. Even if Darkness tried to convince us otherwise we still know Rito has the hots for Lala/Haruna. These other girls are nothing more than a mild distraction. And that's what sucks.
You see some of these girls pouring their hearts out to Rito but everything at the end of the day just returns to the "status quo" at the end of it. He'll never respond properly. Do something a real human being would do for once. So what's the point?

The point is money. If people keep buying it, they'll keep doing it. I can't name how many series have been basically ruined for all but the most hardcore fanboys because they've calculated they don't have to make an effort at story or characters as long as they have enough fanservice to keep the Figma-buying, Nyantype-reading, wallscroll-hanging neets coughing up their parents' cash. I like nudity too, but I don't like watching the same tired scenario/joke over and over and over.
Honestly I'm to the point I don't bother reading/watching any more. I check for the latest spoilers to see if anything happened, if something did (practically never) I'll read it, if not I'll just wait for the inevitable colored in manga panels and anime nude filters. I really thought after Rito and Haruna kissed the story would pick up, but I was wrong.

The point is money. If people keep buying it, they'll keep doing it. Derailed Rito into just being a catalyst for lewd things happening, retconed the original's ending where Rito said he loved both Lala and Haruna into him only loving Haruna.... The whole damn think was a fucking trainwreck.

I thought the original series was okay. Nothing amazing, and kind of squandered the potential that its premise gave it, but it was decent enough, with some fun storylines and lovable characters.
