No, Anon1, that story ended very differently in this world! However this version did involve young Harry thrusting his 'Sword of Gryffindor' into the basilisk's mouth too...

well we now the basilisk, all we need is the phoenix to counteract her paralysis stare by using either tears or feathers.
Also, do we need a rooster or can we use the cockatrice.

This kind of just overlaps with the Medusa/gorgon already. the Basilisk is supposed to be more lizard than snake.

The mask is the most interesting part of this character.
