To Anon 2, it’s been stated in I believe Chapter 4 of Volume 5 that you have to activate your aura for it to protect you. Though it isn’t easy at first and it takes time before becoming second nature. I think the last thing Sienna thought Adam would do, would be to murder her. It was clear that she was being overthrown, but she probably thought she'd just be held captive.
