Is it weird that Mai is more attractive and sexier than Chun-Li, even if she lost? Also, it seems that the image with just Mai in the ground is more popular than Chun- Li's and this one.

Mai chases a guy because she wants to get hitched. Chun-li chases a guy because of revenge or a sense of justice. Mai may be hotter and her game franchises probably deserve more attention. But Chun-li is one of the most iconic faces in gaming, one of the first if not ‘the’ first women in fighting games. If there is a crown for queen of fighters, there’s no question to whom it belongs to.

They’re both sexy. Mai is kind of obvious and is more of a show off whereas Chun-Li is effortlessly sexy. She’s more reserved and natural and there’s appeal to her character being herself rather than the bubbly, flirt who’s just selling it hard and comes off a bit shallow. Attempts to lewd Chun comes from genuinely wanting to see more of her, layers and other sides. Plus does Mai even matter in terms of narrative? What is her opposition and goal and does it matter in the grand scheme of things? She wanted her man and she got him, what else is there besides eye candy and fan service?
