To be fair, they are overwhelming successful on the majority of their missions. Its only the rare occasions when they fail that a game is made.

It's not that they are terrible at being demon slaying ninjas. It's that you gotta come up with contrived ways where they can't use their powers to simply kill the bad guys in an instant. Otherwise there is no plot
