A lot of fantasy settings have resurrection of the dead, especially video games. A lot of older games had rather creative ways of doing it other than (reload last checkpoint or previous save) as well as often having certain limitations (bring the body with you, can't be too mutilated or dead for too long etc.) I rather like the idea of one where a sex ritual is actually used to do so.

Since sex is how you create life it makes sense for a fantasy setting to have it bring someone back to life under the right circumstances. So instead of the woman becoming pregnant the fallen comrade materializes good as new.
