The art is cool and all but goku will one shot saitama in his base form at this point. saitama according to the compus guide made by author ONE and his artist Yusuke Murata clearly states that saitama's peak reach is up to solar system level, which is pretty impressive for a human who can't fly. even if his cloud splitting serious punch was only 0.01% of his max power, his full power will still not reach out of the oort cloud's boundary which is close to namek saga's power tier.

Saitama vs Goku is just not fair. saitama is not a gag, he's a parody of shonen trope. one punch man has to be one of the most misunderstood series ever. saitama can't just one punch anyone, if that were the case then it wouldn't have taken him 4 attempts to kill boros. "he was letting him live bla bla" no, if saitama were truly invincible he would've ended up killing boros regardless of if he wanted to or not.

He can't just beat the likes of goku or superman. he could if he were a gag character, but he's a parody of shonen.

That's right. Math. All your heroes are nothing but the numbers and feats associated with them, even out of print. There's no point in reasoning their implications, emotions, surpassing dynamics, or other inferences that counter the above. If the math and feats aren't there - as bogus and impossible as they may sound - then they don't mean squat.

Creativity is just science with colors. While in actual combat there are many times where the statistical data applied is completely meaningless when the underdog pulls a fast one and defeats the seemingly impossible odds, in comics, that is and will never be the case to the average debater. You cannot beat their sources, calculators, or lack of imagination. It will boil down to the numbers. To the facts. Cold hard truths that have no room for the very messages delivered by the characters they often are pitting against one another.

This is nerd life, baby. Take your petty, ambiguous ideas elsewhere! Real fans of fictional characters only deal in real facts based on the real world, no matter how nonsensical or poorly portrayed. It's not about opinions! Except when those opinions support the argument made by proven feats and facts that don't rely on imagination or inference. Then it's okay. Obviously.

That's just how it's done.

Late to anon3's post but i think Saitama does win this fight, he beat the strongest character in his universe with next to no effort and stopped a planet busting attack with a punch. He may be a parody of shonen but the entire point of his character is that he's the strongest no matter what, full stop. Goku gets clobbered here, but they'd probably just end up getting food anyway.

Blue hair Goku is the lamest transformation, even the red one seems a lot more powerful, saitama wins by deault.

Everything we've seen thus far suggests that, while it would be an epic fight that would destroy the multi-verse, Saitama would win.

Except that neither would win. They're both protected by Plot Armor, the toughest stuff ever conceived. The only thing that can defeat that shit is Poor Sales.
