The comic's message is kind of pointless considering the whole Everyone is here thing and the fact that Daisy was already featured in a Smash game so her reveal was not a surprise nor was it unfair. The comic implies Luigi was invited to begin with and if I'm to over analyze things (as I always do) he has been consistently an assist trophy while Daisy while being an echo of Peach still is more of a character than he is. The message to the comic is heartwarming but the context makes no sense to me
