Looks like Capcom really wants people to take it more seriously now but I hope there’s still room for cheesy action schlock in Resident Evil. Where would we be without Jill sandwiches and boulder punching? Somewhere less iconic and more generic, that’s where.

Sadly the ultra realistic approach Capcom is taking is influenced by western demands, which has its space but is not for EVERYTHING. Seems everyone wants to be the next "cinematic experience".
