| Description: | Currently, there are only links to the Terms of Service on the main post listing, search listings, and individual post pages. Other pages, such at the comments listing, wiki, tags, pools, forum, and indeed even this very trac, have no Terms of Service link.
Such a link would prove helpful. First of all, it would increase the opportunities that people have to see the link and click on it. This by its self wouldn't help a whole lot, since the people who already choose not to read it are unlikely to suddenly choose to read it simply because it's there, however there are other uses for it.
For example, on the forum, many people make posts regarding the Terms of Service. As it is, if one doesn't have them saved in a file on their computer, in order to directly quote them without paraphrasing, one must open either the post listing, a search listing, or an image post, then go to the link to the Terms of Service, and then finally go back to the forum once they have copied the relevant section(s).
Even together, these two facts might not help a whole lot. However, they help some. And, given how easy it would be to implement this, I feel that it would be worth it. |
