Summary: | Ability to delete threads |
Description: | At least admins and moderators should be able to delete forum threads. |
Additional Info: | Reason for the implementation of this feature: 1) It would allow staff to delete - if they wish so - flamed/derailed/spam threads, which are inherently bad. 2) It would allow staff to delete - if they wish so - useless threads, which are inherently bad. 3) It would allow staff to delete - if they wish so - bumped old threads, which are inherently bad. |

Admins already have the ability to remove threads. As for Moderators having the ability, the admins probably don't trust moderators enough to do so. Plus, not everyone (mods) needs to have the ability to remove threads, especially when just locking a thread up will do. An admin can handle if a thread needs to be removed or not. |

Now the ability for mods to close useless tickets would be pretty useful. |

Less stiffness would be useful too. But I'm not in a position to change that. |
