Summary:Option To Hide Anonymous Users Comments
Description:It would be nice if we could hide comments posted by "Anonymous" users. I have very rarely seen anything useful posted by an anon. I know I can hide comments that are down rated but that takes the effort to down rate every stupid comment. On the other hand forcing people to login to comment would solve this. Note: I support the post as anonymous option. Why do we let unregistered users post?

To be honest, I'm not sure forcing registration in order to comment anonymously would help much. All you need to do is enter a username and password and you're registered... No email or email confirmation required. Because of this, I'm sure we'd still get a decent share of shitty anon comments.

That is true. What do you think about the idea of the option to hide anonymous comments? The severity of this issue really should be low now that I think about it. It could be a feature to keep in mind for future updates down the road.

That would needlessly bog down the server and add additional space requirements to each post so the comment listing would work correctly in either situation. If we did this via javascript, you would mostly see (x hidden) with nothing for pages on the listing...

I second this notion.

While some of the funniest comments have came from anons, the vast majority of anonymous posters are annoying and useless dick-snot. For example, that one anon poster who uses "z" in plurals flares back up every now-and-then like a bad case of herpes. It's obvious that the most prolific anonymous shit-posters will circumvent IP-bans and continue their buffoonery at the dismay of many visitors.

I know the administration team is doing their best to work with little money and resources, but just give it some consideration.
