Now Viewing: god_knowsTag type: General Tag refers to the famous rock concert scene in episode 12 of Suzumiya_Haruhi_no_Yuuutsu. The tag is named after the first song Haruhi sings, which is also performed by Haruhi's seiyuu Hirano_Aya. In the original scene, Haruhi and Yuki show up to replace two members of a girl band who are to set to perform at the culture festival to the surprise of everyone. The former is even clad in a bunny suit and bunny ears outfit making her stick out while the latter is dressed in a witch costume worn over her school uniform. Haruhi is replacing the lead singer. Kyon and the audience are skeptical at first until the song God Knows begins and Haruhi and the band end up amazing everyone in the audience, even Kyon. This scene, as well as the episode in general, is an homage to the Japanese live action slice of life film Linda Linda Linda. The success of this song may have been an influence on Hirano Aya taking her music in a more rock oriented direction after Suzumiya Haruhi.
