He started voice acting in 2002, beginning his career voicing minor characters, but his voice acting career was launched thanks to the success of Suzumiya_Haruhi_no_Yuuutsu. He has worked with Kyoto_Animation many times and prior to Haruhi played Kunisaki_Yukito in Air He has a suave voice and often plays handsome male characters. He frequently works together with Kamiya_Hiroshi in anime and the two of them host a popular radio show called "Dear girl stories." He has also voice-acted in many anime with fellow Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu seiyuu Chihara_Minori. He is also a character in the anime adaptation of Lucky_Star as part of the many seiyuu jokes in that series. He plays a parody of himself and is depicted as a blonde young man who carries around a rose. He has also voice acted in many boys' love CDs. He also frequently works with Kamiya on these CDs as well. He has won multiple awards for his performances, including a Best Voice Actor award at the 4th Seiyuu Awards for his performance as Sebastian_Michaelis from Kuroshitsuji.
