Now Viewing: trigger_(company)Tag type: Copyright Tag refers to the animation studio. It was founded on August 22, 2011 by Imaishi_Hiroyuki and Ohtsuka Masahiko. The studio started off working on short animation segments on the second Idolmaster anime and also animated the opening to Project X Zone. It is notably made up of many former Gainax employees which is why their anime have a visual resemblance to many Gainax works made in the late 1990s-2000s. Their first anime was the online series Inferno_Cop which was released on 2012. They then released a short film for the 2013 Anime Mirai Project called Little_Witch_Academia which became popular enough to get a sequel. Their first TV series is Kill_La_Kill which is directed by one of Trigger's founders Imaishi. The company often alternates between lower budget limited animation productions like Ninja Slayer and bigger budgeted TV series and OVAs like Kiznaiver and Little Witch Academia.
