Now Viewing: doomguyTag type: Character Tag refers to the player character of the video game franchise Doom_(game). He is tough soldier who has short brown hair and a muscular body. He is generally depicted as wearing green. The character does not have a real name as he is meant to be an avatar for the player, but he is generally referred to as Doomguy for convenience. Doom 2016 gives him another name, Doomslayer or The Slayer. He is a quiet and tough soldier who was the sole survivor of the initial demon attack, and ends up becoming humanity's best hope against the forces of hell, killing demons with a mixture of high tech guns, chainsaws, and even his fists. He has become so skilled at killing demons that by Doom 2016, he has become a legendary and feared figure amongst both humans and demons with the latter seeing him as their version of a monster. In spite of his brutality against demons, he still feels compassion for others, often going against his corrupt superiors' orders to do what's right. He is a descendant of Wolfenstein's protagonist B.J. Blazcowicz, who he physically resembles. In Doom Eternal, he is voiced by Matthew Watterson in flashbacks. Outside of Doom, he is a playable character in id software's Quake 3 Arena and Quake Champions, the Microsoft Windows version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
