It was originally a novel by Takeda Ayano and was adapted into an anime by kyoto_animation, which began on April 7, 2015. The novel was published on December 5, 2013 and is illustrated by Asada_Nikki. The anime was directed by Ishihara Tatsuya and written by Hanada Jukki with music composed by Akito Masuda. The characters are designed by Ikeda_Shoko. Quite a few characters have had their appearances altered significantly for the anime adaptation.
