Now Viewing: shuma_gorathTag type: Character A massive and extremely powerful green tentacle monster. The tentacles are connected to a circular body. He has no facial features other than one giant eye in the middle of his body. The basic concept behind the character was conceived by Robert E. Howard and was first mentioned in the 1967 short story, "The Curse of the Golden Skull," which stars his character Kull. He made his first real appearance as a Doctor Strange villain in Marvel Premiere #5, which was released on November 1972. He was designed by Steve Englebert and Frank Brunner who fleshed him out as a character. He was the cruel former ruler of Earth who demanded human sacrifice, but was eventually dethroned and banished by the time-traveling sorcerer Sise-Neg. However, he returns to reclaim his position as ruler forcing other heroes to deal with him. He is a major threat with god like power and immortality; he is already the ruler of hundreds of alternate universes and can even destroy whole galaxies by simply using aura-pressure amongst a plethora of other dangerous powers. He is a popular recurring playable character in the Marvel/Capcom crossover fighting games, making his first appearance in Marvel Super Heroes and appearing in every Marvel/Capcom game since. Although he was envisioned as a Lovecraftian eldritch abomination style monster, he often appears in hentai fan art since his design is reminiscent of a tentacle monster that is popular in hentai. In hentai, he is often shown having his way with the Marvel vs. Capcom women. He is voiced by Frank Perry (Marvel Super Heroes- Marvel vs. Capcom 2), and Paul Dobson (Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate MvC3).
