She is a gatekeeper who lives in the mountain cave that houses the gateway into Makai_(Touhou). She is named after Sara Brownie from Takemoto Izumi's story The Crystal Egg (水晶の卵 Suishoo no Tamago) from the compilation Niji-iro♪Bakuhatsu Musume♥ (虹色♪爆発娘♥). Sara's design shows that she has purple_eyes, purple_hair, and wears a red dress with a white scarf and white sleeves.
