Now Viewing: michael_myersTag type: Character Tag refers to the main villain of the Halloween_(movie) franchise. He is a tall man, dressed in dark mechanic's clothes. He wears a pale William Shatner mask and has brown hair. He is also referred to as The Shape. Due to the Halloween franchises's separate continuities, his characterization slightly differs depending on the incarnation. In all incarnations, his evil manifested as early as his childhood. When he was six years old, he murdered his older sister Judith Myers, an act which landed him in a psychiatric hospital where Dr. Samuel Loomis was assigned to look after him. Sam tried his hardest to reach out to the quiet and mysterious boy, but as the years wore on, he came to the realization that the boy was the physical manifestation of evil and that there was no curing him. Loomis feels that Michael must never set foot outside a mental hospital due to the damage he will inevitably cause. Unfortunately, Loomis's worst fear comes true one Halloween night, when Michael manages to escape from the hospital, returning to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois. Once he returns, he proceeds to stalk and kill various citizens while the authorities and the main characters of each installment desperately try to stop him. He is a quiet man, so quiet, that he never says a word or even makes a sound outside of an occasional grunt or breath. He is a merciless and sadistic man who likes to stalk his prey before going for the kill. Even when his prey catches sight of him, he is never seen running after them, and casually walks towards their direction. He still manages to catch up to them thanks to his stealthiness. His motive behind his killings is never concretely explained and no matter how much other characters may try to rationalize or understand his behavior, he defies all of their attempts to do so. It's also questionable if he's even a normal human at all as he has superhuman strength and the ability to somehow survive injuries that would kill almost anyone else. His body language and movements are also notably robotic and unnatural looking for a human. He has been played by a wide variety of actors: Nick Castle (Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2018), Tony Moran (unmasked Michael), Dick Warlock (Halloween 2), George P. Wilbur (Halloween 4 and 6), Tom Wilbur (Halloween 4 ambulance and gas station scenes), Don Shanks (Halloween 5), A. Michael Lerner (Halloween 6 reshoots), Chris Durand (H20), Brad Loree (Resurrection), Tyler Mane (Rob Zombie remakes), and James Jude Courtney (Halloween 2018). His young self is played by Will Sandin (Halloween 1978), Adam Gunn (Halloween 2), Erik Preston (Halloween 4), and Daeg Faerch (Rob Zombie remake) Not to be confused with actor/comedian Mike Myers, though their coincidentally similar names have been the subject of numerous jokes.
