It is a cooking-based slice of life comedy spinoff based off of the original Fate/Stay Night, but set in a universe where the Fifth Holy Grail War has been resolved amicably and its major players are all alive and well. Consequently, this series is the most light-hearted entry in the Fate franchise. The original manga was created by Taa and started on January 26, 2016. It was adapted into an online anime by ufotable that ran from January 25, 2018 to January 1, 2019. The anime was directed by Miura Takahiro, who previously directed ufotable's Unlimited Blade Works adaptation, and Satou Tetsuto. The soundtrack was composed by Shiina Gou. The series was adapted into a 2021 video game for the Nintendo Switch. The series follows the daily lives of Shirou Emiya and his fellow Holy Grail War participants who coexist peacefully. Instead of combat, their now low stakes conflicts are resolved by creating delicious home made meals. Each chapter is constructed around a meal and the series shows all of the ingredients and the step by step process needed to create them.
