There are those designed to be attached to long arms and those that are used as standalone weapons. Automatic grenade launchers also exist. These are usually crew-served or mounted on vehicles. Despite the similarity in names, a grenade launcher is not the same as a rpg_(weapon) (rocket propelled grenade launcher) and they should not be tagged as such.
