Now Viewing: sora_no_otoshimonoTag type: Copyright Fantasy harem dramedy created by Minazuki_Suu and his most well known work. It is also known as Heaven's Lost Property. The original manga ran from March 26, 2007 to January 26, 2014 and has received an anime adaptation that has spanned two seasons and two films. Sakurai Tomoki is a teenage boy living an idyllic life in the small countryside town of Sorami. Although his childhood friend and neighbor Mitsuki Sohara often karate chops him whenever he acts perverted, he is content living in the town, often proclaiming that peace and quiet is the best. Yet he has strange recurring dreams of interacting with a kind angelic blue haired woman in a grassy field and he often wakes up inexplicably crying. Sohara drags Tomoki to see the school's resident eccentric genius Sugata Eishirou to see if he can solve the mystery behind Tomoki's dreams. He speculates that his dreams are connected to an inexplicable object that hovers in the sky which Sugata dubs the New World. Tomoki is skeptical, but he soon learns that Sugata's speculation turns out to be closer to the truth after an angel-like girl named Ikaros falls from the sky and introduces herself as an entertainment Angeloid designed to serve her newfound master's wishes. Tomoki is reluctant to at first, but his compassionate side wins out and he decides to take Ikaros in at the cost of his 'peace and quiet.' As he develops a strong bond with Ikaros; he and his friends gradually realize that Ikaros is much more than just an 'entertainment Angeloid'. His relationship with Ikaros attracts the attention of the sinister and abusive Master of Synapse, the ruler of the New World, and Tomoki finds himself increasingly involved with the matters of the New World. The series derives most of its humor and fanservice as a result of Tomoki's perverted antics. Tomoki himself often spends the majority of his screen time in a super deformed state. The series is well known for featuring some very racy jokes, even for an ecchi comedy, like the famous flying panties. Despite its goofy humor, the series can suddenly become serious. It is not uncommon for a single chapter and/or episode to switch back and forth multiple times between wacky comedy and deadly serious drama. The anime also features a unique ending for each episode. The ending songs are covers done by the anime seiyuus of pre-existing Japanese songs. The manga has received a yonkoma spinoff focusing on the Angeloids and a spinoff also created by Minazuki Suu titled Daisuki desk! Mahou Tenshi Kosumasu.
