He is generally a nice man who welcomes Yuu into his home and takes care of his subordinates well although he often gets frustrated with Adachi's clumsiness. He loves his daughter, but he often spends most of his time outside doing police work leaving her feeling very lonely. He is also obsessed with solving the case of his dead wife which leads him to neglect his daughter. He is the Hierophant Social Link. Arc Systems Works planned on having him as a playable fighter in Persona 4 Arena, but Atlus rejected the idea. He is voiced by Ishizuka_Unshou in the anime and games.
