Now Viewing: arrancarTag type: General Arrancars are a fictional species in the anime Bleach. Arrancars are Hollows with the abilities and appearances of Soul Reapers. Their main appearance attribute includes a broken mask on a part of their body, a tattoo'd mark and a Hollow hole, which doesnt have to be on their chests, Nnoitora Gilga's appeared on his left eye. They have a wide range of unique abilities, such as Cero, Bala, Pizquisa and More importantly, the use of a Soul Reaper's Zanpakuto. However, it is best noted that the sword does not take the appearance of a secondary weapon when released (For example, Renji's Shikai will take the form of an extendable sword), but it will revert the Arrancar back to it's form s/he took before becoming an Arrancar (Grimmjow took the form of a panther before becoming an Arrancar, so when he releases his sword, he takes on the same appearance.) This process of Arrancars releasing their sword is called Resurreccion. Their main residence is in Las Noches, a palace in Hueco Mundo for Arrancars and their leader Sousuke Aizen. Every aspect of the Arrancars have some link to Spanish culture, whether it be the techniques they use in battle, the names of their Zanpakuto, or even some who use Spanish language (Findor Carias declares 'Exacta!' when people answer his problems correctly, which is Spanish for 'exactly').
