Now Viewing: cody_traversTag type: Character the main hero of the Final_Fight franchise. He is the intended protagonist of the game and is inspired by and named after Streets of Fire's protagonist Tom Cody. He is a superb brawler and a close friend of the ninja Gai. He is also associated with the Metro City's mayor Mike_Haggar as he is dating his daughter Jessica. He teams up with the two to rescue Jessica from Belger and his gang and succeeds in rescuing her. Unfortunately, things go downhill for Cody after this. He becomes addicted to fighting and breaks up with Jessica. Although he had once helped stop crime in Metro City, he becomes a criminal himself and is arrested and thrown into jail for attacking and assaulting police, which is possibly the in-universe explanation for his absence from Final Fight's sequels. In Cody's appearances from Street_Fighter_Zero onwards, he is clad in blue and white striped prison uniform. He is also placed in handcuffs and his default facial expression is sullen and apathetic as he has no longer derives any pleasure from fighting even though it's what he's best at. For all of his faults, He remains close friends with Gai and he is still well meaning at heart. He is voiced by Kishio_Daisuke (Super Street Fighter IV).
