When connecting to the Playstation Network, the player can uses the SOS system to seek and give help in dungeons from other online players through sending gifts. There is a Vox Populi system that lets the player see what other players did during a given day in the game. There is also a bonus feature section called TV Listings. The game also holds the distinction of being the first Persona game to be released in Traditional Chinese. Like its parent game, the game was financial success, shipping 700,000 copies worldwide by December 2013. The game will also be adapted into an anime like its parent game, adapting new character Marie's story.
