It is directed by Nagamine Tatsuya and written by Narita Yoshimi. Music is composed by Takaki Hiroshi. The characters are designed by Sato_Masayuki. This series commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Precure franchise. To celebrate, this series brings back previous Precure heroines, with their original seiyuus reprising their roles, for some quick cameos. For the first 33 episodes of this series, the beginning of each episode has a previous Precure heroine appear and directly speak to the viewers, thanking them for following the series for the past 10 years. The cameo characters are also animated by their original character designers to maintain consistency. Earth is under attack by the Phantom Empire, led by Queen Mirage and her Saiark army. Queen Mirage and her minions do not believe in positive ideas like love, happiness, and friendship, and seek to squash such things in their conquest. The Phantom Empire has already conquered the Blue Sky Kingdom and is rapidly encroaching on Earth. Precures from all over the world rise to fight the threat posed by the Phantom Empire. Shirayuki Hime/Cure Princess, the Princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom, is one of the many Precures fighting against the Saiark army. She is motivated by the desire to save her family, which has been captured by the Phantom Empire. Unfortunately, she is very ineffective and has yet to defeat a single Saiark. She often ends up either running away or having to have another Precure rescue her from trouble. She also has no partner/ally that she can rely on and has difficulty in getting a partner due to her social awkwardness and lack of self-esteem. To improve her abilities, the Spirit of the Earth, Blue, gives her the Crystal of Love and tells her to find a good partner. Not knowing what to do with the crystal, Hime decides to pick a partner at random by throwing the crystal into the air; whomever the crystal hits will be Hime’s partner. Her new partner turns out to be the kind-hearted and cheerful Aino Megumi and Megumi agrees to become Hime’s partner once she’s informed of what’s going on. The two of them become known as Happiness Charge Precure. The Precures’ mission is to fight against the Phantom Empire and collect all of the Precards. This installment of the series has a dance motif with many attacks being named directly after real life dancing styles.
