Much like how Konata affectionately pokes fun at Japanese anime/manga fans, Patricia's character affectionately pokes fun at the sizable American anime/manga fanbase. She is a foreign exchange student fluent in Japanese, but she seems to have learned it from all the anime she has watched; she also seems to believe that Japan itself is exactly the way it appears to be in anime/manga which the other characters don't really correct for the most part. She becomes friends with Konata and Hiyori due to sharing hobbies and is the most outgoing and energetic of the trio. She is in the same grade as Yutaka. She has the same name as a character from the wide open sandbox game Prototype though this is likely a coincidence. Her English voice actress is also coincidentally named Patricia.
