Now Viewing: shirou_masamuneTag type: Artist (士郎 正宗) A male mangaka, born on November 23, 1961 in Hyougo Prefecture of Kobe, Japan, who creates both science fiction, usually cyberpunk, manga and hentai. He is most famous for his cyberpunk works that he created in the 1980s such as Appleseed and Ghost_in_the_Shell, the latter being particularly influential. His work often features sexy and tough female protagonists as well as an extensive focus on technology. His hentai work has a distinct style where the female characters look like they've been oiled up. After the 1990s, he has mostly focused on artbooks and hentai as opposed to creating new manga although he has occasionally provided story concepts that other creators fleshed out. However, he remains highly influential and his work continues to receive new adaptations. He is also known for being very secretive about his personal life to the point that he has yet to publicly reveal himself.
