Not to be confused with the second of the Shirakumo-class destroyers [2]. She was completed in August 1937 and sunk in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea [3] while attempting to rescue survivors from the Muroto-class collier Nojima [4] and her sister ship Arashio_(Kantai_Collection). In the game Kantai_Collection, Asashio is a very dutiful young girl with a long_hair black_hair and blue_eyes. Each of the Asashio-class girls wears a skirt with suspenders, holds a quad torpedo tube and a twin-gun turret and carries a randoseru-shaped structure. Her voice actress is Miyagawa_Wakana.
