Now Viewing: detransformationTag type: General The phrase "detransformation (also spelt as de-transformation)" means "undoing (reversing) one's transformation", "transforming (turning) someone back to normal form". For example, when Sailor Moon's transformation brooch is attacked or grabbed, yanked by an enemy ,and loses its power, Sailor Moon loses her transformation with her costume turning back to a bunch of red ribbons that encase her amidst her transformation. This is one of "detransformation". This phrase is used whether the transformation is undone voluntarily or involuntarily. The example above is involuntary, forced detransformation. Although "detransformation" is often used in Sailor Moon fan sites, it is seen in many other sites. Instead of "de(-)transform (undo one's transformation)", "un(-)transform", "de(-)henshin ("henshin" means "to transform" in Japanese)", "un(-)henshin", "dis(-)transform", "un(-)make(-)up" is also used, but this is VERY RARE.
