Now Viewing: ishizawa_nozomiTag type: Character Nozomi Ishizawa (Japanese: 石澤 望 Ishizawa Nozomi) is a character in the anime Hanebado!. She is said to be one of the strongest in the county tournament because of her good racket control from the softness of her wrist. She is an old friend of Riko Izumi and was last year's semifinalist. She defeated Izumi but lost to Nagisa Aragaki later on. One backstory detail that gets brought up repeatedly in episode 8 is the general agreement that Nagisa is a better player than Nozomi, despite Nozomi being the one scouted to play for a strong badminton-focused school like Zushi Sogo. During their match she was encouraged by Aragaki to play how she wants to play instead of taking orders from her coach who was repeatedly shouting at her during the match.
