The title translates to Fertility Island "Why Do I Have To Be Impregnated By an Ugly Guy Like You!?" A hentai visual novel developed by Lune and released on July 9, 2012. The artwork was handled by Butcha-U. The scenario was written by K-TOK, Kawahara Keito, Lilian-jou, Suzuki Ayuo, and Uzuki Kazuha. The soundtrack was composed by Mad Pierrot. It was adapted into two different anime adaptations. The first ran from Dec 19, 2014 to Jan 23, 2015. The second adaptation, Ura Jutaijima, ran from Apr 6, 2018 to Apr 27, 2018. Both were directed by Raika Ken. Both adaptations follow the same premise, but focus on a different set of female characters. The story follows Tanaka Shouta, a teen boy who's picked on for his ugly looks and lack of social skills. One day, his class goes on a field trip that goes horribly wrong when the ship his class is sailing on crashes in a storm. Tanaka wakes up to find himself stranded on an island, where he is stranded with his female classmates and couple of female teachers, some of who he has a tense relationship with. Things get more dangerous for the students when the female students are infected with a unique terminal virus that has only one cure. The only way to stave off death is to be impregnated and Tanaka is the only male on the island . . .
