Kamoi is a Kantai_Collection character introduced for the Spring 2017 event. She is the personification of the Imperial Japanese Navy's fleet oiler/seaplane tender/flying_boat tender Kamoi [2]. Illustrated by Akira_(Kadokawa). Her design is heavily influenced by the Ainu, featuring distinctive patterning as well as a few Ainu_clothes and objects. She has medium-length white_hair with long sidelocks and blue_eyes. Her hair is held as a folded_ponytail with the help of her matanpus headband. Each of her forms has her wear some variant of a blue cropped_jacket over a long, tabard-like, sleeveless (sleeveless_dress) white_dress with a pelvic_curtain, a fundoshi and thighhighs. She is often depicted with no_bra, thus showing off her sideboob. Her gear usually consists of a ship's stern strapped to her back. Listed below are the particularities of her clothing and gear. Base (Fleet Oiler): Her jacket is wide-sleeved (wide_sleeves) and her headband has a pattern. She wears bandages and wrist_guards on top. Her thighhighs consists of black bandages, of which she wears augmented fur boots on top. On her right hand is a set of light artillery. She carries on her left side a load-bearing straw bag containing a crate. Upon being damaged, the crate is destroyed, revealing vegetables (namely potatoes, carrots and an onion) that she tries to preserve. Kai (Seaplane Tender): Her jacket is tight-sleeved from then on and features a collar. She now wears thigh_boots with rudder heels (rudder_shoes). She loses the bandages and wrist guards, and her gear on her right arm is replaced by a significantly larger rig based on the superstructure on her bow. This same gear features a Hein mat [3] draping up front. Her gear on the back has also been modified for seaplane tender duties. Kai Bo ("Fleet Oiler"/Flying Boat Tender): Her headband loses its pattern. The dress has been modified into a white top and blue_skirt. The kana "モ" (mo) is imprinted on her headband and gear. The gear on her arm has been slightly modified and features a dual-purpose gun. The gear on her back has also been modified for hew new duties, carrying another crate on her back. This crate shatters upon being damaged with pieces flying all over the place. She is actually one of a few Japanese ships in-game to be built abroad (currently, the only other is Kongou_(Kantai_Collection)). In her case, at New York Shipbuilding Corporation, at the same time as the USS Saratoga (Saratoga_(Kantai_Collection)), before her conversion. However, she shows very little traces of her birthland and instead acts as the token Ainu of the fleet. As a result, she is subject to crossovers with franchises heavily featuring the Ainu like Golden_Kamuy or with related near-namesakes (Kanna_Kamui is an example). As her clothes barely fit her body due to her large_breasts, she has been given her own tag for art focusing on her breasts ("Kamoi poro tokap". Translated from Ainu, poro tokap means "big breasts".) She is also the only ship in the game to change ship class three times, as well as the only ship who irreversibly (but nominally) return to their original ship class. As Kai Bo, she is the only other ship other than Akitsushima_(Kantai_Collection) to field flying boats.
