Now Viewing: leucochloridium_paradoxumTag type: General A famous parasitic flatworm which infects snails and causes their eyestalks to swell and pulsate, attracting birds which eat the eyestalk and become the next host of the parasite. L. paradoxum exposed to the mutagenic effects of the Internet have been known to invade the eyes of other species, as well as other body parts such as rabbit ears, fingers, twintails and penises. Since the infected snails don't avoid hanging around exposed in well-lit areas like they usually do, the idea has developed that the parasite affects its host's brain, which makes it even more attractive to artists.
