Now Viewing: natsu_dragneelTag type: Character Fairy Tail's male lead. He is a scarf-wearing Fire dragon slayer and was raised by a dragon named Igneel. Natsu himself raised Happy, and the two are very close. Consuming fire makes Natsu even stronger. He is hot blooded young man with a strong competitive streak and a refusal to give up, picking fights with many of his fellow guild members, especially Gray. But he truly loves his friends and the guild and has especially strong contempt towards villains who betray their comrades. Unfortunately for him, his fatal weakness is vehicles. He can't stand to ride in any form of transportation and gets motion sickness whenever a vehicle moves around. This character trait was based on one of Mashima's real life friends who, like Natsu, easily gets motion sickness. In Mashima's friend's case, he gets it from riding in taxis.
