The Queen's Blade series features attractive female fighters of all shapes and sizes (no male fighters), illustrated by a variety of artists, battling each other in the eponymous tournament. It debuted in 2005 and has become a successful multimedia franchise since then. It received an anime adaptation which, besides the frequent fan service, is notable for having many well-known seiyuu in its cast. It has also been adapted into manga, light novels, and video games. It has also received a spinoff titled Queen's Gate, which features female fighters from other anime/manga/video game franchises like Shiranui Mai (Fatal Fury) and Ivy Valentine (Soul series).
