She wields a red masamune in combat that can create portals that give her an easy way to leave. She also wears a necklace. She is a powerful woman who unexpectedly appears to save Yang from being killed by Neo in the eleventh episode of RWBY Volume 2. Neo opts to run away rather than fight her. Yang knows nothing of who she is, but Raven seems to be familiar with Yang. Underneath her mask, Raven looks a lot like Yang albeit with dark hair and red eyes because she is, in fact, her missing biological mother. She is voiced by Anne Hullum.
