Now Viewing: rod_of_remorseTag type: General 悔悟の棒 (The Kaigo no Bou, Rod of Remorse) is a rod or piece of wood used by Shiki_Eiki Yamaxanadu of the Touhou series to carry out Judgements of Death upon the deceased who traverse the Higan and cross the Sanzu_River, where no living being can go. The charges (sins) against a person are written on the Rod of Remorse; then the weight of the rod magically changes according to the severity of the sins and the number of strikes is decided, then Eiki proceeds with the beating of the sinner. The Rod of Remorse is used in conjunction with the Cleansed_Crystal_Mirror.
