Within these tubes is where spermatogenesis occur, which is the continuous production of sperm_cells by the male sex organs. These tubules are inactive prior to puberty, as the testosterone needed to stimulate the cells into producing sperm hasn't been introduced yet. The seminiferous tubules connect to the epididymis.
