He has done both hentai and non-hentai work though the latter often has a lot of fanservice. He joined Toei Animation after he graduated high school and worked on some anime, including the first Transformers series, while there. He then left Toei and became a freelance artist/animator. He made his debut as character designer with the hentai OVA White Shadow from the New Creamy Lemon series in 1987, though this fact was not revealed until after the OVA was released. Along with Yoshimoto_Kinji, who he met during while attending a technical high school in Miyajima, and Kimura Yoshihiro, he formed the production company Earthwork.
