Now Viewing: roman_torchwickTag type: Character An orange haired man who wears a black hat and a white coat. He carries around a cane that doubles as a rifle and often smokes cigars. He is one of the antagonists of RWBY. He is a professional thief who is after Dust and, even though he doesn't care for them, works with the Faunus terrorist group White Fang to smuggle Dust shipments. He becomes an archenemy to Ruby, who he always refers to as red, due to her constant interfering with his plans. In contrast to Ruby, he is a cynical opportunist who disdains Ruby's idealistic spirit. Roman is only concerned with survival and will even work with people he dislikes if he thinks it'll benefit him in the long run. Despite his selfishness, he has a soft spot for his hench-woman Neo. In truth, he is actually working for Cinder Fall and assisting her in her ultimate plan to throw Beacon into chaos and gain the Fall Maiden's power, albeit reluctantly on his part. He was originally intended to be a one-shot villain, but his popularity as well as the crew's own fondness of the character led to him becoming a recurring plot-relevant villain. His design is based off of Alex Delarge from A_Clockwork_Orange. He is voiced by Gray B. Haddock, who is also one of the producers of RWBY.
